Yes, 6.15.2 is available on the website. It has the bug fixes I have mentioned and some of the revised macros.

02/04/08 6.15.2
Minor - Title bar now displays filename first, then "VEDIT"
Improved {Context-Menu, Open file at cursor} (new opencurs.vdm)
Technical - Num_Eval_Date(REVERSE) evals [yy]yy.dd.mm date format
Minor - {EDIT, Sort, Sort lines by length} supports blocks
Minor - {EDIT, Sort, Sort lines & remove dupes} now supports blocks
Fix - IT("...",OVERWRITE) didn't work at EOB/EOF boundary
Fix - Statline_Message() didn't handle 8-bit (non-english) chars
Fix - Color syntax file pattern "|?" didn't work
Fix - Pro64 didn't always copy even small block to clipboard
DOS only:
Basic sorting re-enabled in DOS version

It does not have Pauli's new wildfile macro.

The DOS version used to be supplied with Pro64 package only.
Now it is included with the 32-bit version only.
So if I want to download both DOS version and vpw64.exe, I have to download both packages.
This also means that I have to download the PDF manuals twice, even though I already have them. (As far as I know, the manuals have not changed since Vedit 6.0).

There is a separate DOS package without .pdf files:

www..../download/vpd-prod.zip

Is there a link to that package somewhere in the web page? I couldn't find one. It is quite difficult for people to find the file without a link.

I changed the "Current Versions" page http://.../quick_update.htm to include DOS version download links.

Too complex to explain now, but I suggest downloading the vpw-prod.zip file instead of vpw-prod.exe.
(The DOS version self-extractor has a problem I am working on.)

I have been using this version of Vedit for a while, and find this option annoying.

After opening a file, the name remains on the Task Bar, even after the file is closed.

Could Vedit just display "Vedit" in this case.

Actually I don't feel this feature adds any value to me, as I open files in a single instance (except for executing macros).

This was one of the most requested features; especially when multiple instances of VEDIT are open.

That is a bug - it will be fixed.

Sorry, but this new behavior is almost universal for Windows editors, Visual Studio, etc.

That doesn't happen here (Windows 2000). Without an open file it shows
"VEDIT".

BTW: It would be nice to have a command like App_Title() to be able to
change the title bar at will.
And then perhaps a config option to enable/disable the automatic
displaying of the filename there.

I can replicate it in Win XP.

Those are reasonable suggestions, but I don't see it as a high priority.

Ted.

Ooooooh. That's not fair.
I haven't seen any bug for sooo long now. ;-)

Because I couldn't replicate it in Win 2000 I tried it in Win XP now.
And can't replicate it there as well.

Since you already confirmed the bug: That's just for info.
