Topic: A batch Search/Replace macro (1 of 1), Read 72 times, 1 File Attachment

I recently dusted off a macro that I used extensively many years
ago (before Vedit 4, when I mainly wrote mainframe programs).
REPLACE lets one "batch" a set of global Search/Replace operations.
Somehow, I never got 'round to converting the macro to Version 4
language. So, this is a major re-write. It makes use of some
Version 6 features.

And re-writing it gave me an opportunity to learn a thing or two
about Vedit macro language in the bargain.

The explanations are, hopefully, adequate (examples could be
livelier ;-). I welcome your advice and corrections, and will be
pleased if a few folk somehow manage to put REPLACE.VDM to good
use!!
