I find the html syntax option in vedit.vtm useful in building a webpage which I still do the old fashioned way putting in my own tags.
However, there is a problem with the '.' expansion when attempting to type in expression such as window.open which attempts to expand.
I have eliminated the problem by modifying vedit.vtm to accept either the escape sequence |. or .. to expand to a simple period. If anyone is interested they can have a copy (email to dgcohen@...). I can also post it to the group if there is an interest. Naturally, it is supplied as is, but seems to do the job. I can't remember if I made any other changes.
