The ability to have sub-menus in USER.MNU would be very welcome :-)

I guess this is going to be possible when V7 comes with the totally
customizeable menu-structure?
Anyway, just thought I'll mention it to make sure it is not forgotten
;-)

Cheers

Michael

Yes, we will try to implement this in VEDIT version 7.0.

Michael,

I share your feelings about sub-menus.

At the same time, I would like to call your attention to a work around macro which I have written.

It is message 6409,29 and Christian added a very nice touch to it.

Similarly to the Vedit {Misc, Load(User )menu } command, it is based on the Vedit Get_Filename( ) command. The main enhancement is that my macro also displays the name of the loaded USER.MNU file. Also, it can be called from within the
the loaded USER.MNU. Something, which is implied by a sub-menu.

I hope that you will have a chance to look at it.
