Hi,

I have had syntax coloring problems when using the pascal.syn file
as long as I can remember.

In a nutshell all the coloring goes to my comment color when I use
/ . Moving back to the transition from correct colorizing to all
comment color and scrolling up/down with the arrow keys will usually
maintain the proper colorizing for the areas that previously were
trashed.

The area where the colorizing goes bad doesn't have any
predictability. The and keys however will invariably
result in colorizing problems.

The syn file looks correct to me, and is the original, unmodifed
file from the vedit package.

VERY VERY annoying, to the point I simply do not use vedit anymore
for pascal or delphi source. I don't recall ever having this problem
with any of my other syntax coloring in vedit.

I'm curious if anyone sees similar behavior and if so how to cure
this?

John:

Your message isn't completely readable in the browser.
It appears that you have used some "<" and/or ">" in it and the Webboard software isn't always successful converting those ones to HTML, especially when the message is contributed by email.
So some text was tried to be interpreted as HTML tag and therefore disappeared from the message :-(

I have had syntax coloring problems when using the pascal.syn file

In a nutshell all the coloring goes to my comment color when I use

I have seen this too, but it's long ago and happened rarely.
And it was not with pascal/delphi.
If I remember correctly it happened with the vdm syntax.

That doesn't help much, I know. At least you are not alone! ;-)

I will be happy to fix any problems AFTER 6.15.1 is released this month.
