This is an error I've occasionally experienced in recent versions of Vedit, but this is the first time I've gathered info to submit a report.
The symptom is that, while highlighting text, a window pops up with the error message "Line too long: {CONFIG, File Handling, Filetype} now set to 64 {Binary}", and Vedit locks up requiring Task Manager to close it.
The platform is a 3 GHz P4 running Win2k SP4 in 1024x768x32 bit resolution, running 32-bit Vedit 6.15.1 with word wrap display enabled and hard CR/LF disabled.
The problem can be replicated with the attached file. Scroll down so that line 789 is near the top of the window. Put the mouse pointer on line 801, highlight '[<a href="sources.shtml#brivr">BriVR</a> 2:280' and copy with Ctrl-C. Put the mouse pointer on line 789 at the beginning of '<b>Daniel Snell</b>' and Ctrl-V to paste, then type '] ' . Now go back to line 789, and as soon as you begin to highlight '2:280' the error occurs.
P.S. - I hope the HTML in this message displays properly - I had to encode the "greater than" and "less than" characters to get it to display properly in my browser.
