One of the most important enhancements I would like to see in Vedit would be a more sophisticated printing.
Some of the features I'd like to see:
- Syntax highlight in printing.
Instead of color, you could use bold, italics and underline, perhaps even different fonts (all configurable, of course).
- Configurable headers and footers with optional fields for file name, file date, printing date, page number etc.
- Printing in two columns in landscape mode, with optional divider and/or border.
The page formatting could be set from page settings dialog, and saved in a file separate from other Vedit settings, so that you could have different page layouts for different types of files.
Something similar as the shareware program CodePrint (exept that it does not have syntax highlight).
