Hello Ted.
Have you got any plans to do a Linux version of VEdit?

As has been mentioned many times in this conference, a Linux version is still a low priority. Assuming our anti-spam business continues to grow well, and we can hire additional programmer(s), we will then continue our Linux project. In any case, it will be happen this year. Sorry.

Ted.

Has anyone tried to run the Dos version of Vedit on Linux under DosEmu or DosBox, or the Win32 version under Wine? I've not used those emulators at all, but if they gave me a way to have my familiar Vedit keystrokes under Linux, it might be worth a try :)

My poor brain is not doing a very good job of remembering all the VI keystroke combinations, having worked hard enough to learn the good old Wordstar layout over 20 years ago, and Vedit being kind enough to me to let me choose to continue to use the Wordstar layout.

Or if there has been more thought towards having a Linux version of Vedit, I for one would be standing in line to buy it :)

Rodney

Until we get a *nix version of VEdit, try NEdit. When I used it a few years ago, I was able to program most of the necessary keys to simulate VEdit. Probably about 80-90%.
