Check out addcol.vdm at

http://www.pinc.com/~slambert

in the macro library.

Addcol.vdm will add a column of numbers in a file. Highlight the column as a block, call addcol.vdm, paste result from scratchpad.

Works with :

non-whole numbers
negative numbers
comma formatted numbers
set-able number of decimal places

The attached macro adds a column with left justified numbers followed by spaces. It starts with 1 at the beginning of the current line and proceeds to the end of the file increasing the number by 1 for each line.

Thank you for the very useful macro. It is much more complete than my simple line numbering macro in KEY-MAC.LIB.

I will add it in future releases for installation in the VEDIT\USER-MAC directory.
