As some readers may already know:

My VEDIT fan page (containing the macros I'm referring to here and there) moved from

http://ziemski.privat.t-online.de/vedit/
to
http://www.ziemski.net/vedit

Unfortunately I didn't find an easy way to update all links to my macros here in Webboard's messages.

BTW: Today I found some linking problems on my site due to lower/upper case filename differences.
That should be fixed now. I simply renamed all macros to lower case filenames!

So you have to edit the address/name by yourself when trying to download a macro mentioned in older messages.

Ted:

I added an icon file "favicon.ico" to my site which is displayed by Opera, Firefox (and perhaps other browsers) in the address field and tab.
This feature makes it easier to recognize a page when there are many ones opened in the browser.

Since the official VEDIT site doesn't use a favicon.ico, I created one by myself (from your new logo) and would like to let you know about this.

Christian

Sure, I would be happy to add the icon to our website.

Ted.

Hi Christian, will you be updating the webring entry for your site?
Let me know if you try and run into problems. Its been a long time
since I fiddled with the webring interface but it should be a simple
process.

BTW: I welcome any others to add their sites to the webring. It's
(supposed to be) an easy way to keep related links 'linked' and up
to date with minimal effort -- instead of infusing them into HTML
pages on a site.

EG: 1. Christian's page changes URL
2. Update the webring 'account' he has
3. Anyone using the webring link would automatically
have his updated url etc.

Here's the main link in case anyone is interested:

Tip: use the "Check HTML syntax" option in my HTML Tools package. Among other things, it checks that the case of filenames is correct.

Pauli,

thanks for the tip. I'll have a closer look at your macro!

I can't use your macro directly since my html pages a generated
automagically by another Vedit macro.
But I think I can merge some features!
