I have been successful in running the Set_Marker(m,n) macro and the corresponding
{Goto, Set Marker} menu commands.
My problem is this: I can not save the markers to the file. May this is not an option? Please advise.

Thanks,
-peter.

This is theoretically impossible for a product designed to edit any file.
(At least without creating a database of markers for each file you have
edited.) Only products with proprietary files could do this; e.g. a
Word .DOC file, although I don't know if Word has this capability.

Thanks Rick,
Now that you pointed out that Set_Marker is not meant to be saved I wonder how come I did not think of it myself. Also, thanks for the suggestion of a database file; like the Win95/98 annotation file. Although I do not have the programming background to write such an annotation.

Now, let me tell you the motivation for this question. Prior to Vedit, my favorite programm was As_Easy_As, a shareware spreadsheet. I did succeed in transplanting some of my As_Easy_As macros into Vedit. Scott Lambert wrote a column sum macro for Vedit. I thought the next item could be to transplant Range Names from spreadsheets.

So, at the moment it is easier to run both As_Easy_As and Vedit side by side.

Thanks again,
-peter.
