Hi,

I just wanted to pop in and let folks know I have finally come
across a couple programs that provide spell checking for VPW.

The first is Spell Magic http://www.alcodasoftware.com/ and while
this won't provide on the fly checking it will check complete
documents.

I have found that (a) compatibility mode should be on and (b) use
windows cut instead of copy (for my Vedit configuration anyhow)
works best. The program is shareware.

The second program is tinySpell http://www.numerit.com/ and will
provide on the fly checking and correction for VPW!! This is
freeware and very impressive to say the least. This will not check
existing documents and is only for adding on the fly checking and
correction.

I have no affiliation to either of these but figured, like many,
have yearned for easy and workable spell checking for Vedit.

Thanks John for the information.

Since, I am using Latex, I can not use the spell checker that you mentioned. At least not directly.

However, if the Dictionary file used by that program is ASCII, then I could import it into my spell checker.

Thanks,

-peter.

And now we have Pauli Lindgren's
wonderful ASPELL.VDM macro, to run
ASPELL from within VEDIT.
